Rock Dojo | Program Overview Webinar

In case you missed it, Rock Dojo founders, Brian & Sophie Parham, hosted their very first webinar on Monday, September 30. The webinar was their way of creating good and open communication with the parents of students in the Rock Dojo after-school rock guitar program in Portland, OR.

Why Host a Webinar for the Parents of Rock Dojo Guitar Students?

This quarter has been a huge success! Over the last 30-days, the Rock Dojo has:

  • Enrolled nearly 125-students! Last spring, the Rock Dojo enrolled just 39-students. This quarter, we are one student shy of 125-registrations!

  • Launched new programs at Laurelhurst School, Capitol Hill, Duniway, Skyline, & Imlay Elementary Schools.

  • Hired four awesome, new teaching artists!

  • Expanded to the Hillsboro School District.

The Rock Dojo’s success would NOT have possible without your support! Thank you so much to all those parents who mobilized around our mission. Many of you invited friends to learn more about our classes, shared our posts on your school’s PTA & PTO Facebook pages, and encouraged your children to reach out to their friends who might want to join the class with them.

None of this would have been possible without the advocacy and support of the parents of Rock Dojo guitar students. That’s why we invited all of our supporters to our very first Rock Dojo webinar.

In Case You Missed It, Here’s What We Covered

Rock Dojo founders, Brian & Sophie Parham, overviewed the program answering four fundamental questions:

  1. What are your kids experiencing in class?
  2. What values are we bringing to our students beyond the guitar?
  3. How can parents support their kids at home practice?
  4. What questions would you like answered?

And the Answer to the #1 & #2 Most Frequently Asked Question is . . .

By far and away, the number one question we get every quarter is “Do we need a guitar for class?” The answer to that question is, “Yes, you need a guitar for class.”

The next question is usually, “Which guitar should I get?” In my opinion, the Amigo AM 15 is the very best kids guitar on the market for absolute beginners. If your child is just testing the waters, then this is the guitar for your kid!
